Our Mission

We believe in the power of small farms to provide stability in the deteriorated American foodshed. We provide you with the highest quality product possible, with transparency to our clean inputs and animal welfare. We source organic feeds in a region where that is a great challenge, building relationships with hay and grain farmers who are true stewards of the land here. We band together with others who dream to create healthy, sustainable or food-sovereign communities in Western Montana and beyond. Love for our stock, transparency in our practices, and honesty in pricing are our business values. This train is rolling slow and steady, hop on board and feel better about the meat you eat.

What We Do

Abraxas Farm is a holistic, birth-to-finish livestock operation in Big Arm, MT. We proliferate healthy pastures to feed our growing herd of Mangalitsa pigs and flock of dual purpose sheep (fiber and lamb). With our truly pasture raised organic meats, we hope to deliver maximum flavor and nutrition to the plate for your vitality.

In addition to our holistic management of the aforementioned stock, we enjoy our work with our gardens, chickens, fiber and natural dying, butchery, fruit trees and building creative infrastructure. We are perpetually experimenting with our meat, and are truly kitchen-driven. We live for home butchering, dry curing and recipe testing.

Thank you for your interest in our farm and products. Your support keeps us passionately learning more each season, and hence, producing increasingly more for the community we love.
